Jenkins, Valentine and Fanny Avery (Thompson) Miller County historian, Judge Clyde Lee Jenkins, holds John Lloyd Wright, while turning the spinning wheel of Clyde's great grandmother, Fanny Avery (Thompson) Jenkins, wife of Valentine Jenkins. The wheel is believed to have been handed down from Fanny's mother, Elizabeth (Lee) Thompson, wife of pioneer "Farmer, Poet, Teacher" Henry Tomson. Young Wright is of the fifth generation descended from Henry Tomson and Elizabeth Lee.
