Joseph Lee Wright (1868-1928) and wife Lena (Simpson) Wright (1874-1967) and daughters, L-R, Dessia Maude Wright, and Vesta Lucille Wright. Joseph Lee Wright was a son of Henry Anthony and Minerva (Melton) Wright. They lived in Miller County near Eugene. Joseph Wright was killed by the explosion of a steam engine powering his mill. "Lucille," at the age of 11, was struck by lightning and killed while on her way home from school, Nov. 11, 1909. "Maude" Wright was a well known school teacher and principal, born in 1896, who died in 1999 at the age of 102.
