Samuel Anthony Wright, 1895-1944, was a son of Joseph Thompson and Mary Julia (Newell) Wright of Tuscumbia, MO. Sam Wright was a grandson of James Lawrence and Elizabeth Mace (Thompson) Wright. He was a graduate of Tuscumbia High School and served as a bugler in the U.S. Army during WWI. Samuel married Adella Hedwig Wickert of Syracuse NY, 1897-1977. Samuel was a mechanic for the Franklin Motors auto manufacturing company; a patrolman for the Solvay Process Chemical Co.; and Special Deputy for the Onondoga County (New York) Sheriff's office.
